ThegoaloftheInternationalConferenceonGreen,PervasiveandCloudComputing
istoestablishahigh-standardworldforumforresearchersandpractitionersaliketoshare
theirnovelideasandexperiencesintheareasofgreencomputingandcommunications,
pervasivecomputing,andcloudcomputing.Previouseditionswereorganizedalloverthe
world:Taichung,Taiwan(2006),Paris,France(2007),Kunming,China(2008),Geneva,
Switzerland(2009),Hualien,Taiwan(2010),Oulu,Finland(2011),HongKong(2012),
Seoul,Korea(2013),Wuhan,China(2014),PlantationIsland,Fiji(2015),Xian,China
(2016),Cetara,AmalfiCoast,Italy(2017),andHangzhou,China(2018).
The GPC 2019 edition was marked by high-quality paper submissions and a
rigorous review process implemented by a Technical Program Committee of 43
members, plus four additional reviewers. Each of the 38 submissions received at least
threereviewsand17ofthemwereselectedforpresentationattheconference,yielding
an acceptance rate of 44%. The conference also featured invited talks by leading
personalities in industry.
GPC2019wassuccessfulthankstothehelpandsupportofmanypeople.Firstand
foremost, the authors who submitted and presented their contributions. Second, the
Program Committee members and reviewers who dedicated their time to the
advancement of knowledge. Third, all the chairs and members of the Steering
Committee,forwithouttheirhardworkandguidance,theconferencesimplywouldnot
havehappened.Last,butnotleast,theattendees,whobesidesattendingthetalks,also
briefly experienced life in the heart of Brazil.
