Blockbuster Knights =
In the early days of movies, the term “blockbuster”
represented a hit movie. When a hit film was released,
people would line up around the block to get into the
theatre. “Blockbuster Knights” was chosen as a theme
because Marian High School has become well known for
academics, athletics, and the many other oppurtunities it
offers. As the population at Marian continues to increase, so
do the numerous achievements of the students. Just as
blockbuster movies are remembered for a life time, so are
the memories made in the four years spent at Marian.

Crazy Beautiful
Congratulations
This year’s homecoming went extremely
well. Many students participated in the themed Homecoming King and
dress-up days, and the lower floor competed against
the upper floor for the best decorated. The
Queen:
Freshman and Senior classes dominated with their
Southern climate theme. The football victory over Josh Higginbotham and
Gary Mann on Friday ended homecoming with the
crowning of Josh Higginbotham and Andrea Dibley Andrea Dibley
as King and Queen.

Forty Days and
Forty Nights
Marian allows its students many opportunities
to growintheir faith. Father Dan Scheidt brought new
life and enthusiasm to mass. Outside of mass, students can
develop through retreats which enhance our
understanding of the Holy Spirit’s influence on our lives.
Bishop D’Arcy made his annual visit. He said mass, visited
classes, and talked with many students about what we
would like to see improve at our school. Marian’s
Catholic identity is a big part of the success of the school
andits students.
