BelongingtotheCyayeyame,IsIsgroupandregardedasapeculiarraceisolated
totheSenkakuIslands.Distinguishedfromtheothermembersofthespecies-groupby
theshortenedbodyandlegs,thestronglyexpandedpronotumwhichisonlyalittlenar-
rower thanthehumeralwidthofelytra,andtheuniqueconfigurationofmalegenital
organ.
Colourblack,sometimesbrownishinmeso-andmetathoraces, abdomen, apical
segmentsof antennaand legs, palpi dark reddishbrown.Pubescencepaleyellowish
brownondorsum,thoughvaryingtowardsmoreorlessgrayoryellowaccordingtoin-
dividuals,usuallypaleronheadandscutellum,providedwithordinaryblackpubescent
maculationsas thoseof C、,cり,e、,anlensls: pronotumwith an weakly arcuatemedian
spotjustbehindmiddle,whichisconcaveatmiddleofposteriormarginwhenthespot
iswelldeveloped,aroundedspotatsidesofmiddle,elytronwith0-shapedbasalmac-
ulationconnectedwithhumeralspot,thoughsometimesopenexternallyandforminga

whichisequalinlengthto4thandslightlyshorterthan5th,6thto10theachdistinctly
abbreviate terminalsegmentsimplyroundedatapex.
Pronotum largeandwellexpande alittle narrower than the humeral width of
elytra,stronglyconvergenttowardsapex,weaklyconstrictedatbase, widestatmiddle,
stronglyarcuateatsides;discstronglyconvex,highestatbasal2/5,coarselyandsome-
whatrugoselypunctured.Scutellumlarge,semicircular.

Elytrashortandbroad,2.05-2.25timesaslongasthehumeralwidth.wellconvex
towardssuture,coarselyshagreened;sideswithcompletely roundedhumeri,slightly
convergent tobasal2/5, thenmoderatelysoinweaklyarcuatelinestowardsapices,
apicesratherweakly oblique,gentlyarcuateinmargins,withsmalldentsatexternal
angle,obliquelyroundedatsuturalsides.
Ventral surfacecoarselyshagreened throughout;apical threeventrites in (f al-
moststraightly narroweddistad,withanal onenearlytrapezoidal, 3/5lengthof the
basal width.
Legsmarkedlyshortandrelativelyslender;hind femoraalmostreachingelytral
apicesin fairlyapart fromelytra1apicesin ;1sthindtarsalsegment133timesas
,
longasthefollowingtwosegmentscombined.
Tergite8thalmostaslongaswide,stronglydepressednearapex,whichisahalf
widthofbase,ratherdistinctlyemarginateatmargin. Medianlobealittlemorethan
2/5thelengthofabdomen,almoststraightinprofileexcept forweaklyarcuateapical
sixth, withapex barely exposing theshortly pointedextremity indorsal view: en-
dophallusarmedwitheightpairsofcoll-shaped, relativelythinsclerites,theterminal
pairofwhichissmallandweaklysclerotized.Tegmenrathershort,witheachparamere
moderateinwidth.subpara11e1-sidedexcept forthecompletelyroundedapex,whichis
providedwithdenseshortsetae.

thebroad, parallel-sidedparamereofthemalegenitalorgan. Thisspecieshasso far
been known from the typeseries collected byR. YAKITAon Kita-kojima Is. ofthe
Senkaku Islands.

cludingtheRyukyus,andfivetaxaareprovisionallyrecognizedatthespecies level.
Theislandersofthespecies-groupareendemictotheirsmall isolatedranges,andonly

イ11美大島の基Ill,.種とは,角?l角と肢が黄?と:色であり, 肢は短く, 後月退節は雌でも上地端に属か
ないうえに, 細長い雄交尾器中央1十の形状などから区別ができる. トカラ列島悪石島に同有の

亜種である.
t 2) センカククロトラカミキリC1//o/oJ・101・lis・ta、/-fra s nov.
ヤェヤマトラカミキリ種群の大閣諸島に分布する特殊化の進んだ集団を独立種と認め, 命名
記載した. 同種詳の他種とは, 一見して, 体が太短く, 前胸背板はよく膨降_すること, 肢が著
しく短く, 後腿節は雄でも上地端に届かない特徴から区別は容易である. 大' ;開列島の北小島に
おいて, 焼田理一郎氏が採集したタイプ標本ffの6個体だけが知られている. なお, ヤェヤマ
トラカミキリ極祥は, 日本列島孤の島嶼部の, 東西ばかりではなく南北にかけてもっとも広く
分布するトラカミキリであるが, その地域変異はあまりよく解明されておらず, 将来に課題を
残している.

Introduction
ThoughtwelvespeciesbelongingtothegenusProcleonle11esGREsslTTetRoNDoN
havebeen known from EastandSoutheast Asia(GREssITT & RoNDoN, 1970;NIIsATo,
1981, 1985, 1986; HUA, 1986; HoLzscHUH, 1991, 1998), no representative of this
genushassofarbeenrecorded fromthePhilippineIslands.Throughthecourtesyof
ourcolleagues,wewereabletoexamine fourspecimensofPl・ocleomenescollected
from MindoroandMindanao IslandsofthePhilippines. 0ur careful examinationre-
vealedthattheywereclassifiedintothreenewspeciesoftwodifferent lineages, the
groupof つf01-17eens!s,towhichbelong of)f/7a1・alsp nov from Mindoroand ca 1-
fromMindanao,andthegroupofPe1ongatlt/1o,-a、-, towhichbelongsP
gas1sp nov
ph11ippinenslssp nov fromMindanao. Inthispaper,wewill recordt1、egenusforthe

Female. Length 8.3-9.5mm (from apical margin of cIypeus to abdominal
apex);width:1.6mm(acrosshumeriofelytra).
Largerobustspecies,withratherlargeforebody,longandslenderappendages.
Colourbrownishblacktodarkbrown.shiny,withfaintbluetintonhead.purplish
or greentintonpronotum;antennaeunico1orouslydark brown,pedunclesof femora
yellowishwhite;mouthpartsyellowishbrown,withmandiblesdark reddishbrownex-
copt forinfuscateinnermargins;elytrablackishbrown,withtwobroadtransversepale
yellowbandsonbasalandapical third.
Headlarge,withlarge,stronglyprominenteyes, distinctlywider thanpronota1
apex (1.25:1), verysparsely providedwithsmall punctures,obliquely furrowedat
sidesofocciputbehindeyes,sparselyclothedwithpaleyellowhairs; fronsnearly7/10
thelengthofbasalwidth,almostflattened,gentlyconvexinapicalhalf ratherclosely
andcoarsely puncture withashallowmedianlongitudinalgrooveextendingtothe
anteriorpartofocciput,whichdisappearsnearapex, ratherdenselypalepubescent;
vertexmoderatelyconcave,moredeeplysoalongmedianline; genaenearlyhalfthe
depthoflowereye-lobes;eyesmarkedlyprominent.withupper-lobeslarge.separated
fromeachotherby5/8thewidthofocciput.Antennaefairlylongandratherslender,a
littlelongerthanbody,sparselyclothedwithpaleyellowhairs,withapicalhalfofseg-
ment5and6-11withdenseminutepalepubescence,undersidesofsegments2-6each
withasparserowoferectdarkreddishbrownhairs, thoughtheerecthairsarevery
longandstoutateachapexof3and4;scapemoderatelyclavateinapical3/5,widest
atapical fourth,rugoselypuncturedinbasalhalf;segment3stronglydilatedapicad,
2/5thelengthofscape,alittlemorethanahalfthelengthofsegment4,whichisdis-
tinctlythickenedatapexand4/5thelengthofsegment5;segments5-8slightlyde-
creasinginlength,apicalthreesegmentsreducedinlength,terminalsegmentarcuate.
Pronotumratherlarge,notsolong,2.08-2.l8timesaslongastheapicalwidth,a
littlemorethanahalfthelengthofelytra,hardlydilatedapicad;sidesfeeblysinuatein
apical2/9,weaklyarcuateatalevelbetweenapical2/9andbasal4/9,withsubtriangu-
1arlyprominent lateral tuberclesjust beforebasal4/9, thenst1-onglyconstrictedand
distinctlydilatedtohindangles;baseemarginatenearmiddle,nearlyequalinwidthto
apex;discdistinctlyconvex,withfivecommonswellingswellprominentandapproxi_
matetoeachother ofwhichapairofroundedonesareatapicalthird,apairoflongi-
tudinaloblongonesatbasalthirdandamedianoblongonebetweentheanteriorpair;
surfaceverysparselypunctured,except fortheareasaroundthedisca1swellingswhich
aremoreor lessrugose,andalsowithsubtransversefurrowsonbasalcollar,sparsely
clothedwithpale yellow hairs. Scutellum dilatedapicad、roundedat apex densely
clothedwithsilverywhitepubescence.
Elytramoderate inlengthandbroad,2.82-3.12 timesaslongas thehumeral
width,reachingbaseofanal tergite,alittleexposingthesidesofmetathorax,arcuately
