INTRODUCTION
Introduction & Purpose
The Poland Historical AFV Register is intended to provide a cataloging of all of the historical
Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFV), including tanks, APCs and self-propelled artillery, etc that
are on preserved or otherwise displayed in museums or as monuments in Poland. As such the
registry ranges from the pre-World War II era tanks to modern T-72 tanks. However, the
registry is not intended to include any modern AFVs that are still in service.
Format
The Poland Historical AFV Register is organized by Voivodeship and city or town as follows.
VOIVODESHIP
CITY OR TOWN
AFV Model Man./User status Notes and/or location
The numbers in parentheses are department numbers or city postal codes respectively.
Man./User donotes the original manufacturer (country) and various users, using three letter
country codes.
Status is denoted by one of the following codes.
ind = indoor display
out = outdoor display
std = stored (this can be either indoor our outdoor storage, but clearly not on display)
wre = wreck (typically vehicles on or recovered from a target range, or simply in very bad
condition)
dep = departed
Additional information about a particular vehicle is often included in footnotes.
Often, if there are a large number of AFVs on display in a particular town or military post,
sublistings are also provided, organized by location - museum, building, road, etc.
Sources
The Poland Historical AFV Register is compiled from a number of sources. Firstly, the register
is an expansion of a portion of Leslie Delsing’s “Europe AFVs” register file and of Łukasz
Sambor website http://www.militarnepodroze.net/. Some of the other notable online sources
include the websites http://www.odkrywca-online.com/,
http://www.forum.eksploracja.pl/index.php and http://www.militarium.net/forum/ The
persons who noticeably helped doing this register are DaSk, Waldemar Raczkowiak, Andrzej
Ditrich, Paweł Kupisz, Piotr Michno, Damian Tadych, Romuald Guzenda, Rafal Roszak, Łukasz
"Lupac" Pacholski, Maciej Grabowski, Czarek Piotrowski “Alkali”, Wojtek Zaremba, Łukasz
Tomaszewski, Michał Szafran, Lufcik, asdg70, mac76, Krzysztof Spólnicki, Tomek Spólnicki
and Pierre-Olivier Buan.
A large number of contributors, many of which are credited throughout the registry, have
provided invaluable information.
If you have any comments or corrections, please send them to Łukasz Sambor at
[email protected] or simply post to the AFV News Discussion Board.

25 This C2P was found in 2004 during works on a military area in South Germany. It is being restored to running condition.
26 Adam Rudnicki is getting ready for the reconstruction of the hull/body of a Vickers Mk E Type B tank. Once reconstructed, this
would be the only complete existing Polish Vickers Type E Mk B. Adam Rudnicki has about 2 tons of parts (including an original
turret) and technical documentation of the body drawn from an original vehicle. The reconstruction will began in the first half of 2010
(information provided by Adam Rudnicki, email from November 2009).
27 One of two existing C7P tractor hulls, which will be restored to its original configuration. The other existing C7P hull was
transformed (visually modified) into a T-26 tank (a BT-5/BT-7 turret was added to the hull during the restoration) and it is currently
displayed at the Victory Park at Poklonnaya Gora, Moscow.
