Hm? Was Juosiutik rude? I mean, all she did was get a bit excited and start an accidental fire . . . in the middle of a flower field where a fire could easily spread out of control . . . after giving a passionate lecture about the dangers of potion-making . . . um . . . i-it’s fine, she apologized, right? Look, the sacred den master is not even upset! And he’s a sacred den master! Definitely not some sort of traumatized peasant who is still learning he’s allowed to get upset! And . . . who has a big army of monster bees . . . that will also be very upset if he ever gets upset . . . um . . .
Well, this is the sort of thing non-bees spend their time on instead of making honey, I guess.

Even she can’t justify all that within her previous perception. Plus, the situation with her daughter would be a bit shocking too. So here we are.

Bumblebee home, get! Turns out that some bumblebees don’t really love box homes like honeybees, preferring more ground-based nests. Well, some species like tree nests or birdhouses or whatever else, but experiments with manmade bumblebee homes didn’t have great results in recent years. Apparently, it’s better to just stick a pot upside down into the ground than to build a fancy home out of wood.
But a king that wishes to be the best cannot be limited by such constraints! All the bees shall have a home! We will not be satisfied until it is so!
Also, bumblebees apparently don’t have a dance language. Instead, they apparently communicate they found a good foraging spot by running around their nest really fast while holding pollen. In other words . . . they talk by getting the zoomies. So, you know, that’s a thing now. That’s one hundred percent a thing now.

It was only after starting this novel that I was informed about propolis, aka bee glue. Like, bee crafting is so much easier once you know that bees can already make their own glue. Although apparently they do need like, tree sap or resin or pine cones or something to do it . . . but these are monster bees! They just substitute mana for anything they don’t have access to! Yay magic! Although, I guess the Fourth of the Seventh does live in trees, so her hive probably does have access to all that . . . so, yay bees! They’re magical even without the magic!
Oh, right, we’re supposed to be worried about the shade, or something. Meh, I got distracted by the bees. Priori-bees. We’ll go back to being scared next time, or something.

A bee god chapter! I’ve been slightly hesitant to pull back the curtain on the gods, as it can be tricky to get them right, but this was the best time to do it! So, you know, hope I got the God of Bees right. Tried to have her encapsulate all aspects of all bees . . . but turns out she’s dealing with god politics so that results in a certain politically-minded bee’s aspect getting more emphasized, huh.
But in any case, it’s all good, because the God of Fire is acknowledging bees as the best! Definitely not because a certain non-bee was an infamous pyro or anything!
