Gloria flick her wrist sending the wave of reddish orange crescent wave of plasma fire instantly vaporizing the undead who were still crawling out of the portal.
Their rotting flesh creating the rancid smell of the underground basement, a miasma of greenish fog filled the room, threatening to leak out, which Helen was casually holding back.
After all, this stench is nothing to them, their bodies or rather soul passively purifying it but for the normal people this is a death sentence, as even the slight whiff of this air would corrupt their body and turn them into the undead.
"What do you mean? I didn’t threaten you with my daughter, Do you think I am that dumb?"
Gloria asked Helen confused not understanding why she was saying this while her flames were practically circling around the bluish green glowing portal killing those undead as she was trying to think of why Helen was even saying this.
She threatened to burn down the whole hospital because her daughter was in the hospital. If not, she too doesn’t give a rat’s ass. People die, big deal people die, the common cold kills more people than wars ever could.
So she really doesn’t care, at best a few thousands people die before authorities send someone to deal with the mess, if not, who cares if not, all she cares about are two people, Grace and Alex, that’s all.
As long as those two are safe, she lets the world burn without any care.
"...Okay let me walk through it, You saying you would burn this hospital down if i don’t close this portal because your daughter is in this hospital? Am I getting that right?"
Helen took a deep breath, calming down because she was not sure to lose it and burn down this lunatic.
Thankfully though she has experience with dealing with an empty headed one like her daughter Rose, So she still keeps her cool, though she puts even more distance between them, still terrified of stupidity getting passed down as the contingent as she always feels stupid whenever Rose spends little more time with her, She didn’t want same happen to here too.
"Yes you are getting it right, but where did I threaten my daughter there?"
Gloria’s transparent astral form, still with those mature alluring curves in the soul form, stopped and looked at Helen as she sat on a throne made up of the flames just to flex because well why not? Her flames keep killing and vaporizing undead as if her flames have minds of their own, like heat seeking missiles auto targeting on poor undead, might be just looking for some brain, unfortunately there aren’t any.
Well because they are in soul form, nothing else.
"...Are we both speaking english? Because I feel some disconnect going on here."
Helen just closed her eyes, breath and slowly said to Gloria, trying to understand what this fire bitch talking about.
The miasma she was holding back vanished as she used her S-rank space powers safely before she put even more distance between two of them looking at Gloria sitting on her flaming chair of course mocking her indirectly with this flex as this shows how she got her embarrassing name.
This made her even more confused as this proves that Gloria is not stupid but that makes her even more confused as why would she even say she burns hospital while her daughter is in the hospital.
"I guess someone is getting too old. Tell me what my family name is?"
Gloria just looked at Helen with wide eyes shaking her head as she couldn’t believe this woman got so slow.
Helen’s intelligence is well known in their inner circle but her not even getting this fact was just too stupid, that made her scratch her head.
She then just pointed at herself, then at her flames then at herself again with a half smug and half embarrassed look for Helen as it’s obvious.
"What do you mea-Fuck!....*muttering inaudibly* I spent too much time with Rose?"
Helen still couldn’t come up with a reason when suddenly it hit her.
Phoenix
They are from the Phoenix family bloodline, even if her daughter does not have any powers or even awakened, She is still Phoenix, and well isn’t it stupid thing to say that Phoenix is getting hurt by Phoenix flames.
So Gloria was right, She can burn down the hospital and her daughter be safe, there is no threatening of her daughter.
She inaudibly mutters about Rose, though she is not aware of Rose’s weird powers but she can see patterns and her S-Rank instincts warn her to not get too close to Rose.
She chops up to Rose being so dumb that simply talking to that girl kills her brain cells, warning herself to not spend any more time with her younger daughter, just give her money to make up for it.
Yet there is that damn question, burning down the hospital is just going to be profitable to her, So there is no incentive closing the portal, rather it benefits if it stays open.
*Flip* *Crack* *Boom* *Closed*
But Helen didn’t dare to ask fearing she would once again be stupid not seeing something so oblivious loophole that once Gloria pointed it out it would make her feel even more stupid.
So she didn’t bother, She just flick her wrist sending pinkish wave of her power, a air around the wave was trembling, even space was threatening to shatter by mere presence of this unassuming rather alluring power as its passing through the air in deceptively slowly yet in the next moment it coiled against portal.
There was just barely any boom before a pinkish alluring rapture on space and time appeared, swallowing the blast and everything else including Phoenix flames that were surrounding it in the vertex before vanishing.
’*Sigh* Fuck thankfully she is very easy to fool, Or I be so embarrassed today.’
