Chapter 849: Scared of Information

The moment they returned to their car, Harrison couldn’t contain his anger anymore.
He slapped his granddaughter with so much force that it cracked her jaw.
"F-Father?!" Andrew was startled because it was much harder than he expected it to be.
However, Harrison couldn’t care less about it. He pointed his finger at Elizabeth while shouting, "Are you fucking kidding me right now?! You fucking ruined the entire family that I have built ever since the apocalypse."
Then, Harrison shifted his finger to Andrew. "You too! Do you think you are not to blame? I have given you full control over the family. And you can’t even control your own daughter?"
"I..." Andrew didn’t know what to say.
"Do you know what will happen right now?" Harrison shouted. "If only this fucking bitch hadn’t ruined the whole thing, we would have gotten a good relationship with the entire Hacfield family.
"And look at us now?"
"We don’t know what will happen yet. We should return to the house and see any options!"
"You fucking idiot!" Harrison shut Andrew up right away. "That is Madam Silvia. That woman was a fucking ghost.
"What? Do you want to take revenge on her? Even if you tell people about her identity related to the Hacfield family, would it matter? No, it would scare people even more.
"No one could stop her if she decided to disappear. What? You still want to fight her? That fucking madman will be the first one to crush my skull.
"She never told a single lie. In other words, the threat earlier was true. The house is already compromised.
"No one had ever seen the depth of her information network. No one knew how much information they got about her. And our current government?
"Even the president had benefited from her service. If she wanted to, she could mess with this country with just information.
"That’s just how powerful she is. Do you know how much I have given up to even have a good relationship with her? And you and your fucking daughter ruined that relationship! You—!"
Before he finished, his skyphone rang. When he looked at the caller, he knew everything was about to go down.
After all, the caller this time was the president of the country.
"Fuck." Harrison knew that he had screwed up. Because of everything he had sacrificed and built so far, he got a bit greedy at the last moment. If not for anyone ruining his original plan, it would have been fine.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done after this.
Meanwhile, Clovis and the others were dumbfounded.
"What did you do, great-grandma? Was that a threat?" Clovis asked.
"No. Her integrity lies in one thing. She never lies. You might not know the whole truth, but you can assure yourself that there is not a single lie in her words. In other words, she probably has dirt, not only on that guy’s subordinates but also on other high-ranking officials in this country.
"The moment it is published, those people are going to be angry that you will probably find the news tomorrow about their family getting destroyed and that Tier 8 guy getting killed."
"..." Clovis and the others were dumbfounded. This was the first time he had heard about his great-grandmother, but he couldn’t help but understand why his grandfather was so scared of her. "So, does that mean she has dirt on you as well? You didn’t cheat on Grandmother, right?"
"No, no way! I would never cheat on her. And don’t say anything about the dirt on me."
"Your grandfather might be admired by a lot of girls, but there are probably only 5 women who can talk to him normally. And you already know four of them: me, your grandmother, Maya, and your mother."
"..." Clovis blinked his eyes a few times. "But great-grandmother. Is it fine to just kill people off in this country?"
"Of course not. I don’t want it either, but they have left me no choice. I have warned them twice, when most people only get one warning from me. When you are in this line of work, you can’t be too greedy, too curious, or too careful. Well, it’s time for me to get a new home, I guess."
"Ah..." Clovis looked down, feeling bad.
"No need to be sad, darling. This is my own matter, so you don’t have to worry about it."
"Then, how about moving in with me?" Clovis asked. "I have a city."
"Unfortunately, I will never live in the same country as my family. That’s one of my rules. Don’t worry, I have a couple of houses all around the world." She smirked. "But I think I can stay in this country for another three days.
"I hope that my great-grandson has some time to spend with me."
Clovis smiled before nodding his head. "Yes, I’d love to. But I need to ask my team first because I was only planning to stay for a day."
"You don’t have to worry about that." Silvia smiled and turned around. She first looked at Clovis’ three girlfriends. "Kanaria, right? May I call you that?"
"O-Of course." Kanaria nodded furiously, still having a hard time processing what had just happened.
"I heard you are the one managing the city, it must be hard on you."
"No, not at all. It is my dream, and it is Clovis who realizes my dream. So, I’m planning to work hard for it."
"Well, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it or not, but I was the one who managed the logistics of the Hacfield family back in the day. As you probably already know, the Hacfield family has branches all over the country, so if you face any hard problems, I can give you some advice." Silvia tilted her head back while calling out loud, "Maya!"
"Here you go." Maya appeared right away. She brought a bag containing three phones.
"These are burner phones. Each phone can only be used for one call."
"This..." Kanaria was overwhelmed. She nodded her head. "Thank you."
Silvia then turned to Christina. "I have heard the situation of your Elseingarde family. The conflict between your grandfather and another Tier 9 human, the Moon Bow?"
"Yes? It’s being handled."
Silvia asked out loud, "Michael. Can you lead this girl to the archive room? And open case file DE-001? It contains the information that will shed some light on the conflict and where it originates. Let her have it."
"Yeah, sure." Michael nonchalantly responded, while Christina was shocked. It had been investigated for several years, but there wasn’t a lot of information they could find. Yet, it appeared Silvia possessed that information.
It was surprising.
On the other hand, Clovis was looking at her great-grandmother like a Santa, but this Santa was rather dark and vicious since she was spying on people.
